OUR ETHICS

SUSTAINABILITY

Our lingerie may be precious, but so are the earth’s resources.  As part of the fashion industry, we are aware that we are a part of one of the most polluting industries on the planet. Because of this, we have a responsibility to make changes and improve our practices where we can to work towards a better and more sustainable future.

When designing a piece, we always think about how it will make a woman feel and how long she will cherish it. Creating something truly beautiful that lasts is at our core.

1 TREE PLANTED WITH EVERY ORDER
OUR FLEUR FOREST HAS OVER 5000 TREE'S PLANTED

Through our partnership with Ecologi, we plant one tree for every order placed.

Together with our customers, we are growing the Fleur Forest, a project that has already funded the planting of thousands of trees around the world. This initiative allows us to support global reforestation projects while giving back to the planet with every order.

Healthy trees sequester CO2, making them climate champions from the moment they're planted. They also help to restore healthy ecosystems, sequestering and storing even more carbon in soils and plant biomass, as well as boosting biodiversity. Reforestation projects provide co-benefits for local people, including employment, gender equality, new income streams, more diverse food sources to support a healthier diet, and improved community facilities.

Ecologi only supports responsible tree planting. This means supporting community-led projects where ecologically appropriate species are planted at the right place and time, and where trees are guarded from natural and man-made threats.

EXPERT CRAFTSMANSHIP
Craft That Outlasts Trends

At Fleur of England, sustainability begins with craftsmanship.

For over 25 years, our collections have been created with intention, designed to be worn, cherished and kept for years to come. We believe true luxury lies not only in beauty, but in the care, skill and responsibility behind how each piece is made.

Guided by a slow fashion philosophy, we focus on thoughtful production, responsible materials and meaningful partnerships. From the artisans who craft our garments to the packaging that protects them, we continually look for ways to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the exceptional quality Fleur of England is known for.

MADE IN EUROPE
Crafted by Skilled Artisans

Here at Fleur Of England, we are proud to have been working with our wonderful factory in Portugal for over 20 years, supporting fair wages for our workers and ensuring a safe and supportive working environment. As advocates of ethical manufacturing, we think it's important to work with people who share our beliefs.

Every Fleur of England garment is brought to life by skilled artisans who share our dedication to craftsmanship.

Our pieces are produced by expert seamstresses in Portugal, whose knowledge and technical expertise ensure every garment is constructed with exceptional care. We work closely with our manufacturing partners, regularly reviewing production methods to ensure they align with our values and minimise unnecessary waste.

From Fleur’s studio in the UK to the talented makers who carefully construct each garment, people remain at the heart of everything we do.

REDUCING WASTE
Small Batch Production

Our collections are produced in small quantities to minimise excess production and unnecessary waste.

Our designs are able to remain part of each collection for longer, ensuring pieces have the opportunity to be sold and cherished rather than discarded.

During production, we aim to use as much of each fabric as possible, including offcuts where appropriate, helping to minimise waste throughout the making process.

This slower, more considered approach allows us to focus on quality, craftsmanship and longevity.

RECYCLED MATERIALS
ECO COLLECTIONS

We are continually exploring ways to reduce the environmental impact of our materials while maintaining the luxurious feel and exceptional quality our customers expect.

Some Fleur of England collections incorporate recycled tulle, helping to give new life to existing materials while preserving the delicate beauty of our embroidery. We are committed to continuing this journey, thoughtfully introducing more responsible materials wherever possible.

RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

We believe beautiful packaging should also be considered. All of our Fleur of England postcards included in orders are made from recycled algae.

Our packaging is developed with sustainability in mind, using FSC-certified materials, recycled tissue paper and biodegradable stickers wherever possible. Our signature gift boxes are designed to be kept and reused, extending their life beyond the initial unboxing.

Delivery packaging is fully recyclable and lightweight, helping to reduce emissions during transportation. We also reuse packaging received from our factory wherever possible before recycling.

As part of our commitment to reducing paper waste, we have introduced digital invoices, saving hundreds of sheets of paper each month.

PIECES THAT STAND THE TEST OF TIME
Designed to be Cherished

At the heart of Fleur of England is a dedication to slow, considered design.

Every embroidered motif begins as a hand-drawn sketch in Fleur’s studio before being translated into intricate embroidery. Each detail, from silk fabrics to 24-carat gold-plated hardware, is chosen for both beauty and longevity.

By creating pieces designed to last, we hope our lingerie becomes something to return to time and time again.

REDUCING OUR IMPACT
OUR COMMITMENT

Sustainability remains an important part of our long-term vision as a brand.

We continue to explore new ways to reduce our environmental footprint, from incorporating more responsible fabrics to reducing plastic usage and supporting meaningful causes. Each year we also donate a percentage of profits to Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives.

Through thoughtful design, responsible production and ongoing improvement, we remain committed to creating lingerie that celebrates both craftsmanship and conscious luxury.
