Meet Our Stockists: Lisa, Sheer Lingerie
In celebration of Sheer Lingerie's new boutique opening in Hong Kong, we had the pleasure of catching up with Lisa, founder of Sheer Lingerie, to speak about her vision for the new boutique.
What’s your vision behind Sheer?
I created Sheer twelve years ago to offer women in Hong Kong and Asia a different lingerie experience where they could shop for luxury brands in a comfortable and non-judgemental way. I also wanted to break the stigma for women that bras are uncomfortable and so bra fitting is a core pillar of our staff training at Sheer. I hope to modernise the lingerie industry in Asia and inspire a culture of self-love and independence for women.
What is your vision for the future of Sheer?
The lingerie experience that we provide at Sheer is quite unique. I would love to expand our retail brand to other countries in Asia and grow in this region. We have clients from China, Singapore and Southeast Asia who visit our Hong Kong boutiques and love what we offer but cannot find anything similar in their home country.
How can a Fleur of England customer discover your boutique?
With the addition of our new location, we stock Fleur of England at both our Landmark and Harbour City boutiques in Hong Kong. We also connect with our clients through Instagram @sheerlingerie, Little Red Book @Sheerlingerie and our online store www.sheer.com.hk.
What’s the one thing you are most proud of in your new boutique?
Our new boutique in Harbour City is smaller than our flagship in the Landmark and so we only stock our top-selling brands including Fleur of England. I feel so proud of our long-term relationships with our brands, some are which we have worked with since twelve years ago. I am grateful to have such amazing support, commitment, and friendship with my suppliers.
When designing the interior of your boutique, what are your influences? Are the interiors of both of your shops linked, or have you gone in a new direction?
The interiors of both shops are very similar as Sheer has a very strong and consistent brand identity. We are known for our soft oak wood interiors, lush taupe-coloured furnishings, and dark bronze accents for a touch of modern luxury. Finishing touches include our signature look of curated coffee table books to give the space a sense of warmth and comfort.
