Buy Women Built

We are delighted to announce that we have joined the Buy Women Built community!
'By shining a light on women-built brands our movement brings choice to consumers who want to empower and support women, while inspiring future female entrepreneurs that they can do it too!' - BuyWomenBuilt
We sat down with Fleur, founder of Fleur of England, to pick her brain on the importance of celebrating women and fellow female founders.
WHAT IS BWB?

BWB stands for "Buy women built." It is a movement to encourage consumers to buy from female founder brands and build a stronger fairer economy. It also provides a platform for a dynamic community of female founders where information, experiences, insights, help, and support can be easily shared. There are also webinars and in-person meet-ups for that special connection.

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO YOU AS A FOUNDER TO BE A MEMBER?

Being a member of BWB holds significant importance to me as a female founder. It provides a valuable platform to connect with like-minded businesswomen, exchange ideas, and gain fresh perspectives. This network offers a wealth of knowledge and resources that can contribute to the continued success and growth of Fleur of England.

Fleur of England is an all-female team, and we pride ourselves on crafting lingerie literally built by women. This movement is so close to our hearts and feels the perfect place to connect, learn, and grow.

If we can help advocate by women built and reduce the gender equality gap around funding for female business for future female founders, I will be extremely proud.

HOW WILL THIS IMPACT FLEUR OF ENGLAND AND YOUR ROLE IN THE BUSINESS?

Being a member of BWB will have a positive impact on Fleur of England in several ways. It will facilitate valuable connections with other female founders, potentially leading to collaborations and partnerships. Additionally, it offers opportunities to learn from other successful founders, which can be applied to enhance our business strategies and practices. Personally, it also allows me to contribute to the broader community while continuously refining my leadership skills.

ARE YOU A MEMBER OF ANY OTHER COMMUNITIES/MENTORING SCHEMES?

Yes, I really enjoy participating in other communities and mentoring schemes.

I sit on the committee in Bristol for Soho house “cities without houses” which is a fantastic opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other local creatives, it’s very inspiring.

I am currently a member of Female invest – an incredible platform and community designed to empower women to have financial security through knowledge and training in the finance world.

I enjoy going to Six degrees networking events, which is a women only networking community that has just gone global but started in the south west of England. They offer many networking opportunities webinars and fun meet ups. Their founder is extremely inspiring.

I am also working with a fantastic mentor through the ‘Be the Business’ Scheme.
