Here at Fleur of England, we don’t need much of an excuse to throw a party, but the Queen's jubilee seemed like a pretty good one…
On the 6th of February this year, Her Majesty the Queen became the first monarch to celebrate a platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the United Kingdom. To celebrate this iconic milestone, the United Kingdom has a 4-day bank holiday and here at Fleur of England, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to celebrate our British heritage.
We couldn’t be more proud to be British. From launching in Liberty London over 20 years ago to all of our designs which are hand-sketched in house by Fleur herself, here in our Bristol studio. We pride ourselves on being a quintessentially British brand, and the Jubilee feels like the ideal time to celebrate this.
In the UK we have a running history of throwing organised street tea parties to celebrate national events. Over the Jubilee weekend, there will be hundreds of street parties all across the country for everyone to get together and celebrate.
Sadly you can’t always count on the weather being on your side in the UK, so we held an indoor tea party with a red, white, and blue theme, from scones to shortbread we had a delightful time!
Whatever you’re doing this Jubilee bank holiday, we truly hope you have a wonderful weekend,
Team fleur x
